Government College of Pharmacy, Amravati (GCOPA), established in 1996, being a private college, affiliated to Sant Gadge Baba Amravati University, stands among the reputed colleges of pharmacy in Amravati, Maharashtra. GCPA provides UG, PG and Doctorate Courses in Pharmacy such as B. Pharm.,M.Pharm., Pharm.D. and Ph.D. Course. The Institute introduced Post-Graduate Courses in Pharmacy with specializations in Pharmacognosy and Phytochemistry in 2004 and Quality Assurance in 2011. With the changes in need of clinical practices, The Institute introduced Doctor of Pharmacy in 2011.

B. Pharm.	Duration: 4 Years Subjects:Human Anatomy and Physiology, Biochemistry, Pharmaceutical Mathematics and Biostatics, Pharmaceuticals Biotechnology Eligibility:Candidates must have passed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics or Biology from a recognized Board or its equivalent.
M. Pharm.	Duration:2 Years Subjects: Pharmaceutics, Pharmacology, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Quality Assurance, Pharmacognosy, Pharmaceutical Analysis Eligibility:The candidate must have cleared B.Pharm. with a minimum of 55% aggregate.
Pharm. D.	Duration:6 Years (5 Years – Academic, 1 Year – Internship) Subjects: Human Anatomy, and Physiology, Pharmaceutics, Medical Biochemistry, Remedial Mathematics/Biology, Pharmaceutical Organic Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Inorganic Chemistry Eligibility: Age must be 17-23 Years along with a minimum of 50% marks in 12th class with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics or Biology.
Ph.D.	Duration:3 Years Subjects: Research Methodology and Information Communication Technology, Recent trends in Pharmaceutical science, Modern trend in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Advance development in Pharmaceutical Sciences Eligibility:The candidate must have Master’s Degree or its equivalent with at least 60% aggregate and those who are qualified to receive Junior Research Fellowship after passing CSR/UGC NET, DBT JRF Exam.

Admissions to all the programs in GCPA are done on the basis of Merit in Entrance Tests for which the Exams are as follows:

B. Pharm.: MHT-CET
M. Pharm.: GPAT, NIPER, APPGECET
Pharm. D.:MHT-CET
Ph.D.: Ph.D. Entrance Test
