Jaymin School of Fashion Design and Technology (JFDT) was established in 2015, in the Surat district of Gujarat state at the west coast. Its first academic session was 2015-16. It is a part of the Faculty of Design Planning and Architecture (FDPA), affiliated by the Uka Tarsadia University, approved by the Government of Gujarat.
The benchmark course offered at Jaymin is the Bachelor of Design (B.Des.) in Fashion Design and Technology. The Bachelor course aims at providing a fresh outlook of both theoretical and practical (industrial training) knowledge of the Fashion Industry. This Fashion department of the UTU university secured 1st and 3rd position in the Global Fashion Week 2018, held in Surat.
