K.L. Polytechnic (KLP) also known as Kanhaiya Lal Polytechnic is an engineering stream college based in Roorkee, Uttarakhand India. K.L college was established on 25th January 1956 and was founded by Shri Rai Sahib Kanhaiya Lal ji. The college is affiliated to AICTE and UTEB (Uttarakhand technical education board).

The college offers both UG and PG programs to its students. Under UG, it offers diploma in 5 different streams and under PG, it offers PG diploma in computer applications. The admission criteria are based on the qualifying exam JEEP which is conducted by UBTER.

KLP Roorkee Admission

At UG, candidates must clear their 10th from any board to higher secondary education.

At PG- candidates should at least obtain 45% in their graduation degree. The current intake of students in UG diploma is different in every stream in civil- 63, electrical – 69, electronics- 69, mechanical-69 and mechanical (auto) – 42. And the intake in PGDCA is 67. The selection will be based on the ranking secured in the entrance exam JEEP conducted UBTER and then the counselling is conducted and the admission is given on the basis of the merit list prepared. All the admission is finalized on the basis of some predetermined cut-off marks conducted in JEEP.

The college encourages students to learn digitally and promotes digital education and it allows students to learn new technologies, the internet is strictly based for study use. And each student should abide by the computer lab rules in order to attend the class.
