NIPER Kolkata, also popular with the name National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research, is a pharmaceutical institute in Kolkata established under the aegis of the Ministry of Chemicals & Fertilizer. The college was established in 2007 to provide advanced degrees and research opportunities in the pharmaceutical sciences. UGC has designated this university as an "Institute of National Importance." NIPER Kolkata has been ranked 32nd in the Pharmacy category in India by NIRF Rankings 2023. The campus is designated as a "centre of excellence" for higher education in the pharmaceutical sciences, built by the Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizer.
