About Smt. P.N. Doshi Women's College

Smt. P.N. Doshi Women’s College was established by the SPRJ Kanyashala Trust, a pioneer in women’s education, in 1960. The college started with five students in BA and has now grown into a multi-faculty institution with five thousand students. College was accredited thrice with ‘A’ Grade by National Assessment and Accreditation Council. The college offers numerous conventional and professional courses, diploma courses and add-on courses. Admission to the college is done on the basis of the candidate’s performance in the last qualifying examination.

It provides education to nearly 5000 girls through Junior colleges (Affiliated to HSC Board), Degree colleges offering conventional and professional courses as well as Post graduate programs, Diploma Institutes (Affiliated to S.N.D.T. Women’s University), Add-on courses and a Career Institute, all under one roof. The trust also manages two schools, which are from pre-primary section to secondary section (Std. X). The college has a total faculty of around 50 members and all of them are highly experienced. SPN Doshi Placement Cell has tie ups with numerous companies that recruit students from various courses. Some of the top recruiters of this institute are Cognizant, Infosys, TCS, Wipro etc.

Smt. P.N. Doshi Women's College conducts training activities for employability skills, soft skills and certificate courses and other activities like workshops, guest lectures, etc.

Training activities include Youth Employability program of Technoserve which developa employability skills among the students and provide placement support. The program consists of 60 hours worth of training to make students corporate ready, and is sponsored by Citi Foundation, the CSR arm of CitiBank.
Brightwayz is an organisation that coaches students to appear in entrance exams of MBA, Banking, UPSC/ MPSC and other competitive exams. The curriculum covered is largely common across these exams and so also the training.
NISM trains students for their course on Mutual Fund Distribution. ICICI Securities Ltd. sponsored the training, exam fees and also fees for registration with AMFI to deal in Mutual Funds. Students can then practice as Independent Financial Advisers.
Light bulb skill development training program provides communication skills, self development, personal presentation, basic grammar, public speaking, business etiquette, email writing, etc. over 30 hours.
