VPMM Engineering College for Women

V.P.M.M. Engineering College for Women established in 2002-03 is run by VPMM Educational Trust. The college is approved by AICTE, New Delhi and affiliated to Anna University Chennai.

VPMM Engineering College for women is the first Women’s Engineering College in south part of Tamilnadu. Initially at the time of its inception in the year 2002, college started with only 17 students and now has grown up with total strength of around 1600 students.

This growth speaks volumes about the sincere efforts by the management, faculty and the students themselves to improve the content, Quality and thereby the strength of the college.

In these 12 years, the college has become one of the premium institution and a major player in the Indian Women's education.

Hostels :

A well-furnished modern hostel with spacious dining hall is available for students. Accomodation is provided in the hostel on first come first serve basis. The facilities provided are recreation rooms, sanitarium, sports, gymnasium etc. Hostellers are provided Cot, Table, Chair and a large sized Cupboard.

NSS :

The college has a unit of NSS that is serving the society and mainly the people of the region. The volunteers are actively participating in educating and preparing the youth of the region for national issues requiring urgent attention, through national service activities in deprived areas, within reasonable congenial conditions.
