VSM Institute of Technology known as Vidya Smavardhak Mandal is situated in Nipani at Belgaum and is affiliated to the Visvesvaraya Technological University, Belgaum. It offers Diploma Courses and Engineering Degree. It is a multi-discipline undergraduate program. The institution’s main vision is to empower the rural youth by giving them high quality technical education. Its mission is mainly to provide good education and training to promote self-reliance among students and to inspire them in getting success in their relevant field which in turn will help in the economic development of the area. It has a well equipped library, hostel, both for boys and girls, campus of about 13.38 acre land. It has a good lab and seminars, contest camps for the students.
