FDDI Patna Admission

Fashion Design and Development Institute Patna offers admission through an entrance exam called AIST. Registration is done through online mode.

Application Procedure

Step 1: Visit the official website of the college and go to the ‘Admission’ tab.

Step 2: Register yourself by creating a login account with a valid email id and contact number.

Step 3: After successful registration, fill the online application form with all the required details.

Step 4: Upload a recent passport size scanned photograph and signature.

Step 5: Pay the application fee of INR 600 (General/OBC (Non-Creamy)/GEN-EWS Category) and INR 300 (SC/ST/PWD Category) by online mode (Debit Card/ Credit Card/ Net Transfer).

Note: Candidates are advised to keep the printout of the application form for further reference along with proof of payment.

Selection Criteria

For admission in B.Des valid UCEED score is accepted. Students with valid UCEED will be exempted from AIST. For admission in BBA, M.Des and MBA students with a valid scorecard of All India Selection Test (AIST) can have admission to the course exam which will be followed by counseling.
Candidates who are allotted a seat will be required to pay an amount of INR 25,000 at the time of counseling/ admission to reserve the seat. This includes INR 10,000 (Non-Refundable) as Registration Fee + INR 15,000 as Advance Fee to be adjusted against the balance fee.
The candidates will be given 10 working days from the date of reserving his seat or before the commencement of the program whichever is earlier to deposit the balance fee.

Fashion Design and Development Institute Patna offers reservation for different categories in each program both sponsored as well as non-sponsored categories which are as follows:

FDDI Patna Placement

The Institute conducts a centralized placement drive at the campus for the students enrolled in various programs. It invites various reputed and multinational companies from Footwear, Leather and Retail Industry for placement drive. International companies like Uniqlo, PUCA Shoes, Apparel Group, Zomato, Blacberry, Dixcy Textiles, H&M visited the campus for recruitments.

A total of 120 major recruiters have visited the campus and 83% of the students have been placed on the institute’s campuses. The placement cell plays a major role in counseling and guiding the students. The cell also organizes pre-placement activities like mock interviews, conferences, expert talks, seminars, etc.

FDDI Patna Facilities

Following are some of the facilities offered to the students to cater to their needs:

Library: The institute has a resourceful library with a rich collection of books, Indian and foreign journals, magazines, newspapers, etc. It also has a facility of e-resources for the students as well as faculty members. It also has a wide collection of project reports and case studies.
Sports: The campus has a newly constructed sports complex that offers facilities for sports like Tennis, Badminton, Basketball, etc. There are well-equipped indoor as well as an outdoor sports complex for the students.
Auditorium: The campus has a world-class auditorium equipped with ultra-modern, professional-level light, sound systems, and an LCD system. It has a seating capacity of 300 people.
Hostels: Both girls and boys’ students are provided separate hostel facilities with well-furnished rooms. There is a capacity of 288 in boys hostel and 144 for girls. The hostel is offered on the first-cum-first-serve basis and the fee is to be paid at the beginning of each semester in advance.

Ans. You can download the admit card from the official website of the institute. Candidates are advised to regularly check the FDDI website for updates. Admit Cards and Results for AIST will be available on the FDDI website only. No separate communication will be sent by post.

Ques. What is the age limit to apply for admission?

Ans. The age limit to apply for admission in the UG program is 25 years and no age limit to apply for admission in the PG program.

Ques. Can I choose the city for giving the entrance exam as per my preference?

Ans. Yes, you can choose the city based on your choice. All the eligible candidates will have to appear for the written entrance examination at the Examination Centres opted by them. The written entrance examination is designed to test the knowledge, skill and aptitude of the candidates for the program opted.

Ques. What are the admission criteria for NRI category candidates?

Ans. 10% of seats are reserved in each program for NRI/ Industry Sponsored candidates who meet the prescribed eligibility criteria. The candidates will get interviewed and the selection shall be done on merit basis.

Ques. Does FDDI Patna provide an accommodation facility?
