IET Sitapur Courses Admissions

Admission in IET is either merit-based or through entrance exams. Till 2020, UPSEE was the key examination for admission to this college. However, UPSEE has been scrapped and admissions will take place on the basis of the score obtained in JEE Mains.

For admission in B.Tech, candidates must achieve a qualifying score in JEE Mains which is conducted every year.

In the case of an MBA, candidates must clear one of the common tests conducted in the country such as CAT, MAT, CMAT. They must also fulfill the basic eligibility requirements for the course and specialization of their choice.

As already mentioned above, AKTU has reportedly scrapped UPSEE from the year 2021 for B.Tech and MBA admissions. Instead, the admissions will, from now on, be done on the basis of the score obtained in JEE Mains.

Hence candidates who are interested in choosing the above-mentioned programs are advised to fill the JEE Mains application form and clear the exam with a valid score.

Most importantly, the application form for JEE Main has been released and candidates must fill the application at the earliest. For admission in B.Tech courses, candidates will appear for JEE Main Paper-I.

Deserving and academically driven students might have a chance of getting a scholarship. While there are no scholarships specific to the institute, several scholarships are given to students by the Central and state governments such as Post Matric Scholarship for Minorities, Pre Matric Scholarship scheme, etc.

The Post Matric Scholarship for Minorities is given to students coming from backward, marginalized, and minority communities. This scholarship is given by the MHRD, Government of India to students of Undergraduate and Postgraduate levels. The duration of the scholarship can be from 6 months to 5 years, depending upon the duration of the students’ degree. The average scholarship a student can get is from 4 thousand to 5 lakh rupees.

There are separate hostels for girls and boys - Vartika Girls Hostel and Dilip Boys Hostel.
