About Jerusalem College of Engineering - [JCE]

Jerusalem College of Engineering (JEC) was established in 1995 by the Jerusalem Educational Trust. Situated in the heart of the city, the college offers 7 undergraduate and 6 postgraduate courses in the fields of engineering, technology and management.

Under the UG section, the institute offers B.E. in 6 specializations and B.Tech in Information Technology. Candidates who have cleared their 10+2 level studies can apply for the UG courses. They will need to qualify for the TNEA exams.

For PG courses, it offers M.E. in 5 specializations and an MBA program. Graduate students are eligible to apply for this course. Admission to PG courses is based on entrance examinations.

Applicants must qualify for the TANCET exam. However, scores of National Level Entrance Exams like GATE, CAT, and MAT can also be considered.

JCE Chennai Admission 2024

Candidates who wish to secure admission to the undergraduate courses offered by JCE chennai, have to pass the TNEA exam with qualifying marks. The TNEA (Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions) exam is conducted by Anna University for securing admission to the various undergraduate engineering courses in the universities/colleges in the state of Tamil Nadu, which are affiliated to Anna University. Students who qualify the exam, would then be required to appear for the TNEA counselling conducted by Anna university.

Based on the candidate’s performance during the counselling, he/she would be allotted the college.

Candidates who wish to secure admission to the postgraduate courses offered by JCE Chennai, have to pass the TANCET/GATE exam with qualifying marks. The TANCET(Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test) is conducted by Anna University for securing admission to various postgraduate courses across the universities/colleges in the state of Tamil Nadu which are affiliated to Anna University. Students who qualify the exam, would then be required to appear for the TANCET counselling conducted by Anna university.

Based on the candidate’s performance during the counselling , he/she would be allotted the college.

JCE Chennai Placements 2023

The training and placement cell of JCE is wholly devoted and boasts of a whopping 90% placement record. The cell conducts various activities to prepare the students to outshine themselves and be recruited by their favoured companies. Activities like career guidance programs, group discussions, puzzle solving, mock interviews, reasoning and aptitude test, communication skills testing and brainstorming sessions are organised to help the students in prepping up for their big day. Throughout the years, the college had an impressive placement record. Some of the most prominent companies such as Infosys, Wipro, Mindtree, Hewlett Packard Enterprises, ZOHO, Omega Healthcare, BYJUs, Sutherland and many others have recruited students during campus placements.

Library: JEC has a fully computerized and gigantic library which has a vast collection of books and e - resources. The library makes use of the barcode system for transactions and also an online public access catalogue system is available for users. The library houses an audio visual room which is used to conduct audio visual lectures, seminars and workshops.
Cafeteria: The cafeteria can be accessed by all the staff, students and visitors in the college. It provides hygienic, nutritious, affordable and quality food items to the food items. It is a nice place to grab a snack and have a quick chat with your friends.
Hostel: JCE also offers hostel facilities within the campus for the outstation students.
There are separate hostels for boys and girls which are equipped with all the basic amenities. The hostel rooms are well ventilated and spacious to ensure a comfortable stay. There is also a separate mess for both boys and girls hostel which provides tasty and wholesome delicacies.
Fitness and health care center: To ensure that the students stay fit and in the pink of health, the college has its own gym and fitness center with all the major equipment. Moreover, to provide proper healthcare to the students, the college has a primary healthcare center with a doctor and a full time nurse.
