About Madras Christian College - [MCC]

Madras Christian College (MCC) is a private college of liberal arts and sciences, located in Chennai. Founded in 1837, MCC is affiliated to Madras University and it is one of Asia’s oldest extant colleges. Madras Christian College offers more than 40 courses at the UG, PG, and Doctorate levels in the fields of Arts, Science, and Commerce. Residential Halls: MCC has a total of 6 residential halls: Selaiyur Hall, St.Thomas's Hall, Bishop Heber Hall, Martin Hall (Formerly known as the Women's Hostel), Margaret Hall ,and Barnes Hall.
Miller Memorial Library: The library contains thousands of books and periodicals which are necessary for students according to their streams. MCC also provides facilities for students who are visually challenged with Books in Braille, Computers integrated with Screen Readers and the internet facilities.
Music: MCC is well-known for its student rock bands. Bands started by MCC students are The Mustangs, Rusty Moe, & Blacklisted.
Public Spaces: There sare everal public places available such as Anderson Hall, MCC Quadrangle, Boxing Ring, International Guest House, Macphails’s Arts Centre, Sportsfields, and C.A. Abraham Pavillion.
