Mangalore University Distance Education Admission 2024

Mangalore University Center for Distance Education offers UG and PG Programs for the students. Moreover, the college separately provides and invites applications for B.Ed course. The admission of the candidates in the University for Distance Education is strictly followed merit-based direct method except for the B.Ed Programme. For admission to the B.Ed Programme, the University organizes CET (Common Entrance Test) for the students. Mangalore University Distance Education Scholarship

At present, Mangalore University, Center for Distance Education does not entertain any scholarship facilities for the students. Yet the students can take benefit from the scholarships provided by the Government of Karnataka. However, from the side of the Government, students can also avail of the “Student Loan” facility.

Devaraj Arasu Scholarship: This scholarship is specially designed for the candidates who have come from different backward classes recognized by the Government of Karnataka. It is only for those candidates who are the residents of Karnataka. The primary intention of this scholarship is to offer financial assistance to the candidates whose annual family income is less than INR 2.50 Lakhs.
Vidyasiri Scholarship: This is another category scholarship awarded by the Government of Karnataka to the SC/ST/OBC students. This is also called as the Karnataka Epass Scholarship. The award fee for the scholarship is INR 1500 per month.

It is quite evident that the scholarships are awarded and designed prioritizing the different category students and the main purpose of these scholarships is to motivate the students by way of financial support. Another scholarship that is also provided by the Government is the Vidhyasarathi scholarship.

Library: Mangalore University has a grand Library building for the students. The library is 9,000 sq.ft. area. It has been declared as an independent Library building by the University authority. The library consists of 2,05,320 books of different subjects. It also includes various reports, thesis papers, and research papers, etc. Additionally, the library has collections of over 8,000 important journals.
Employment Bureau: This is the most innovative and extensive part of Mangalore University. Employment Bureau is the separate department of the university that arranges job opportunities for different domains for the candidates.
SC/ST Cell: This is another important body of the University. To smooth out all the queries and matters of the SC/ST candidates, this cell is incorporated. It is completely responsible to manage and supervise various academic and non-academic policies, programs, and preferences considered for those category candidates.
