About MIER College of Education

MIER College of Education has been a pioneering institute in the field of Teacher Education for over four decades now. With a CGPA of 3.64 and a "A+" Grade (3rd Cycle) from the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC), the college is ranked among the top 5 teacher education programs in the nation. The institute was established in the year 1981 and was the first college in the private sector in Jammu Province to impart instructions in B.Ed. Programme.

BA	Specializations: Psychology, Sociology, English, Political Science & History. Course Fee: INR 56,300 Per Annum.	Candidate seeking admission to the B.A. (Hons.) Psychology must have obtained at least 50% marks in aggregate (45% for candidates belonging to reserved categories) in Higher Secondary Part-II Examination (under 10+2 pattern) of Jammu and Kashmir State Board of School Education, Central Board of Secondary Education or an examination recognised as equivalent thereto from any other recognised Board.
B.Ed	Specializations: General, Spl. Education Course Fee: INR 74,000 to 76,200 Per Annum.	Admission shall be open to those candidates who have passed their Bachelor's Degree (10+2+3 pattern) and / or Master’s Degree with 50% aggregate marks (45% for SC/ST candidates)
MA (Education)	Course Fee: INR INR 57,000 Per annum.	A candidate seeking admission to regular M.A. Programme must have passed final year of Bachelor’s Degree Examination (10+2+3 pattern) with Education as an elective/additional subject from a recognized University/Institution with at least 40% aggregate marks (36% for SC/ST candidates).
MA	Specializations: Psychology, Sociology, Political Science, English
M.Ed	Specializations: General, Spl. Education Course Fee: INR 83,600 to 93,950 Per Annum.	A candidate seeking admission to M.Ed. Programme should have obtained at least 50 % marks in the aggregate (45 % for candidates belonging to SC/ST Category) or an equivalent grade in the following programmes: i. B.Ed. ii. 4-year Integrated B.A. B.Ed., B.Sc. B.Ed. iii. B.EL.Ed. iv. D.EL.Ed. with an undergraduate degree
Diploma in Guidance and Counselling	Course Fee: INR 27,000 Per Annum	Minimum Qualification for the above programme is graduation in any subject. Candidates pursuing Post Graduation/B.Ed/B.Ed. Spl Education/M.Ed. courses/In service Teachers working in Govt. and private sector / Special Educators working in Samagra Shiksha Scheme of the Govt. can also apply.
