MKP PG College Admission

Admission for undergraduate courses is done on the basis of marks obtained in 10+2. For postgraduate courses, admission is done depending in marks obtained in the undergraduate degree.

MKP PG College Facilities

The college campus is spread across 6 acres in picturesque Dehradun. Several facilities are available to students.

Library: A large library is present on campus that houses nearly 90,000 books, various journals, and a book bank. The adjoining room serves as a reading room with the capacity to seat 80 students. All reference books for courses are available here, as well as photocopying machines.
Sports: Extra-curricular activities are given great importance by the college. A large playground is dedicated to the practice of basketball, volleyball, athletics, badminton, shooting, etc. Coaching for these sports is also available, and students participate at college, university, and state levels.
Hostel: The residence hall houses approximately 200 students on campus. The hostel serves healthy and hygienic food to students residing there and provides basic amenities for comfortable living.

Ans. Dr. Indu Singh is currently the principal of the college. The 16 departments in the college currently have 60 teachers in total that are highly trained in their subject. 84% of teachers hold Ph.D. degrees and have vast experience in their respective fields.

Ans. M.K.P college is a prestigious women’s college in Dehradun. It is one of the oldest colleges in the states. Ans. A total of 1990 seats are available for B.A across 12 streams.

300 seats are available for B.Com and 120 seats for B.Sc.

In the postgraduate sections, all M.A streams have 60 seats each, except Psychology that has 30. M.Sc. has 20 seats available.

Ans. Yes, the college provides scholarships to SC/ST/OBC/PwD students. These can be availed after admission. Science students are also eligible for the INSPIRE scholarship,

Ans. The college runs a six-week-long basic certificate course in women’s studies as well as outreach program workshops under Project Dishayen.

The centre for Indian Languages runs various language courses. A 40hr Entrepreneurship training program is also conducted.
