Rajasthan Unani Medical College & Hospital was founded in 1980 by The Taraqqi Tibbi Society, Rajasthan. It was developed in to an elaborate medical system by the Arabs who gave it a scientific base. 

• Previously it was affiliated with the University Rajasthan, now it is affiliated to the Rajasthan Ayurved University Jodhpur.
• The college is recognized by State Government and C.C.I.M. New Delhi.
• The college is imparting education in B.U.M.S. degree course.
• The college has a State-of-the-art infrastructure with all latest facilities.
• It has an herbal garden of 56 ‘beghas’ on lease. College administration cultivates different types of herbal plants for hospital pharmacy, practical and demonstration purposes for college students.

Rajasthan Unani Medical College & Hospital aims to academic excellence which is provided by the well qualified and experienced facultu. The course offered by the college is

• Kamil-e-Tib-o-Jarahat (B. U.M.S.) (Bachelor of Unani Medicine and Surgery)

It is a four and a half years course which includes the main course with 1 year compulsory
internship training Program. It has various subjects in its curricula and these subjects are taught by respective departments.

This institution has various departments in B. U. M. S. course and these departments impart quality education to the students. Some of the departments are:

• Department of Kulliyat – e – Hb (Principle of Medicine)
• Department of Tashreeh – ul – Badan (Anatomy)
• Department of Moalijat (Medicine)
• Department of Jarahiyat (Surgery)

It has a hospital named Rajasthan Unani Hospital which provides medical facilities on minimum charges.

• The Hospital has hundred beds and daily O.P.D. is One hundred twenty five to One hundred eighty five.
• It has full medical staff.
• The Hospital has a manufacturing unit where the medicines are prepared and manufactured in the supervision of expert hakeems & pharmacists.

Library

The College has well maintained and settled library.

• This library has more than 5, 000 books in Urdu, Hindi, English versions on Unani Tibb and allied medical subject.
• It subscribes to medical journals and booklets, news paper, magazines in several languages.

Herbal Garden

The College has a Herbal garden

• It is spread over an area of 56 ‘beghas’
• Students cultivate different type of herbal plants for hospital pharmacy, practical and demonstration purposes for college students.
• Some important herbal medicines which are cultivated in are Safaid Moosli, Satawar, Ashgandh, Tukhum Hallu, Babchi, Podhina, Siah Moosli etc.
