About Rishi Bankim Chandra Evening College

Rishi Bankim Chandra Evening College (established: 1947, Ownership: Private) named after the celebrated litterateur Rishi Bankim Chandra Chattopadhyaya and situated close to his birthplace, is a government-aided honors college providing higher education to various students coming majorly from the North 24 Parangas, Hooghly and Nadia districts.

The college offering various courses in undergraduate studies under the Choice Based Credit System (CBCS) is accredited by the NAAC with Grade B++ (2016-2021) and affiliated to the West Bengal State University.

Rishi Bankim Chandra Evening College Admissions

Selection criteria

Students who have passed their 10+2/ equivalent qualifying examinations with a minimum percentage of 50 (aggregate) and 45 (in the subject or related subject) are eligible for the honors courses. SC/ST candidates need a minimum percentage of 40 (aggregate) and 40 (in the subject or related subject) in their 10+2 or qualifying examination.
