About Smt Kasturbai Walchand College

The Smt Kasturbai Walchand College was established with the objective to provide the students belonging to Sangli city and neighboring villages, the facility of qualitative and valuable higher education. To deal with the ever changing scenario of liberalization and globalization, this college has initiated various new courses in the fields of Information Technology and Biotechnology. The vision of this institution is to be recognized as the frontline institution and act as catalyst in providing quality education, keeping in view of human resource need and changing global perspective of the society. The mission of Smt Kasturbai Walchand College is to abolish the superstitious attitude of students and to develop scientific attitude in them by providing modern technical education by which they can become responsible and respectable citizens and contribute to the sustainable improvement and development of the society.

This institute has been given "AGMARK" certification License for testing spices and oil which provides services to the industries from Central Govt. “Inspire” Camp has also been established in the college under DST for 150 students.
