Sri Guru Gobind Singh College of Commerce is one of the notable colleges of Commerce stream of Delhi University. It has been recognized by UGC and accredited by NAAC with “A++” grade. The institute provides UG, PG, Diploma & Certification courses. Students can also opt for additional courses from the add-on courses of the college. All these courses are offered under the faculties of Commerce, Economics, English, Mathematics, etc. The college offers undergraduate courses for 3 years, PG courses for 2 years and the diploma and certificate programs for 1 year. 

The admission to both UG and PG courses is carried out on the basis of the candidate’s performance in CUET. After qualifying in the entrance exam, candidates have to appear in the centralized DU CSAS process for seat allocation.

Established in 1984 Sri Guru Gobind Singh College of Commerce is funded by the Delhi Sikh Gurudwara Management Committee and affiliated to the Delhi University. Besides the regular courses the college is also a Centre for Non Collegiate Women Education Board and School of Open Learning. It has a strength of more than 2000 students and a faculty strength of about 90. Sri Guru Gobind Singh College Admission

Sri Guru Gobind Singh College of Commerce admission to the UG and PG courses is based on scores obtained in the CUET examination. And the admission to the PG diploma courses is carried out on the basis of merit in the last qualifying exam. The admission process includes appearing for the CUET examination and then appearing in the CSAS seat allotment. Registrations for admission at the college start after CUET result declarations. Candidates must select Delhi University while filling out the CUET application can register themselves on the DU CSAS portal and choose their college and course preferences. The entire selection process is carried out via the DU CSAS portal for both UG and PG courses in multiple rounds. The detailed SGGSCC admission process is as follows:

Step 1: Appear for the Entrance Examination

Step 2: Registration on DU CSAS Portal and Filling of Courses and College Preferences

Candidates who qualify the entrance examination must register on the Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS) Portal of Delhi University for the seat allotment. Once the registration is done, candidates will be asked to fill college and course preferences. 

Step 3: Seat Allocation

The seat allocation will be done in multiple rounds for all programs. Seats are allocated based on scores obtained in the Common University Entrance Test (CUET) or other national-level tests, combination of college and program chosen, category (SC/ST/OBC/EWS/UR) of the candidate, and availability of seats. 

Step 4: Blocking of Seats and Final Admission

Candidates can check the seat allotment result by logging into Delhi University’s Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS) dashboard. Upon acceptance of seat, the college will check eligibility, verify documents, and confirm admission after receiving the admission fees.

  • Library: The library of the college is fully air-conditioned and computerized. The library includes more than 50,000 books, 490 journals, 850 CDs in various subjects. It also has subscriptions to 27 newspapers, 35 journals and magazines.
  • Sports: SGGSCC provides both indoor and outdoor games facilities. The college has a cricket, basketball and volleyball court. The college organises Sahibzada Ajit Singh Cricket Tournament in December and January every year. 
  • Computer Lab: The college offers four computer labs which include 140 computers. Along with the PC's SGGSCC also provides database software packages, several language processors etc. The software includes the licensed versions of the latest packages, that's visual studio (visual basic, visual C++, visual FoxPro), Jbuilder, Oracle, Tally, Dbase etc. and also the language compilers, viz. turbo C, turbo C++, Java, Qbasic etc.
  • Hostel: The college provides hostel facilities for both boys and girls. Guru Gobind Singh and Mata Sahib Kaur are the hostel names which are provided by the SGGSCC.
