Vinayaka Missions University, also known as the Vinayaka Mission’s Research Foundation (VMRF), is a NAAC accredited deemed to be university under section 3 of the UGC Act of 1956 located in Salem, Tamil Nadu. The university was established in 1981 by philanthropist Dr. A. Shanmugasundaram as “Thirumuruga Kirupananda Variyar Thavathiru Sundara Swamigal (TKVTSS) Medical Educational and Charitable Trust”. A vibrant university with a multi-cultural experience, it got its “deemed to be” status in 2001. With the motto of “Vision, Wisdom, Unity”, the university aims to spread education globally in the fields of Medicine, Dentistry, Paramedical, Homeopathy, Engineering, Management, and Basic Science.

Vinayaka Missions University Paramedical Courses

The Allied Health Sciences department of Vinayaka Missions University offers paramedical courses at 2 locations, Salem and Puducherry. There are 10 specializations offered in B.Sc. along with B.Optom. The Puducherry campus also has BASLP. Other than this, there are 5 kinds of M.Sc. courses and 3 integrated M.Sc. courses. The university also runs 5 kinds of diploma programmes.

Eligibility:

For the bachelor courses, the university entertains applicants who have cleared their 12th examinations with a science group. For BASLP, the applicant must have cleared 12th with PCMB.

For the master courses, the applicant must have passed in a relevant B.Sc. degree. The university offers diploma to 10th passed students.

Vinayaka Missions University Medical Courses

Vinayaka Missions University has 3 medical colleges offering MBBS, MD, MS, and PG Diploma. The university offers MD in 13 fields and  MS in 5 fields. Apart from this, there are six different diploma programmes. The medical colleges are approved by the Medical Council of India (MCI) and also have the approval of the Ministry of Health, Govt. of India.

Eligibility for MBBS:

1. The student must have completed the age of 17 years on or before 31st December of the year of admission.

2. The student should also score at least 50 percentile in NEET-UG examination.

3. The student should have cleared 12th with PCB and should be passed in English.

Eligibility for PG courses:

The student should have a recognized MBBS degree and should have obtained permanent registration as medical practitioners with MCI or any state medical council.

Vinayaka Missions University Dentistry Courses

The university has a dental college at Salem which offers the degrees of B.D.S. and M.D.S. The colleges are approved by the Dental Council of India (DCI). There are 8 different departments in the college which also offer 2 diploma courses.

Eligibility for BDS:

1. The student must have completed the age of 17 years on or before 31st December of the year of admission.

2. The student should have cleared 12th with PCB and should be passed in English.

3. The student should have cleared NEET with minimum percentile required.

Eligibility for MDS:

The student should have a recognized BDS degree and should have obtained permanent registration as medical practitioners with DCI or any state dental council.

Vinayaka Missions University Engineering Courses

Vinayaka Missions University offers both part-time and full-time B.E. and M.E. courses. The colleges are NAAC accredited and approved by AICTE. The university offers 9 full-time and 5 part-time B.E./B.Tech courses and 6 full-time and 6 part-time M.E./M.Tech courses. The AVIT campus in Chennai also offers an MA degree.

Eligibility for B.E./B.Tech:

The applicant must have cleared 12th with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the Biotechnology/ Biology/ Chemistry/ Technical Vocational subject and should have scored at least 45% (40% for reserved category) in these subjects.

Eligibility for M.E./M.Tech:

The candidate should have a B.Tech degree and should have scored at least 50% (45% for reserved category) in the qualifying examination.

Vinayaka Missions University Management Courses

The university has 2 campuses in Salem and Chennai for the management courses. It offers MBA in 13 fields of specialization and also offers an M.Com degree.

Eligibility:

For MBA, the candidate must have a relevant bachelor’s degree and should have scored 50% (45% for reserved category) or above in the qualifying exam.

Vinayaka Missions University Training and Placement Cell

Vinayaka Missions University has a dedicated placement cell. Students are working with reputed institutes like Apollo and Fortis. For engineering also, companies like Infosys visit the campus. Vinayaka Missions University Awards and Social Presence

Vinayaka Missions University has signed MoUs with a lot of companies and international institutions including BOSCH and Oakland University, USA. They even have MoUs with institutes in Japan and Bangladesh.
