Central University of Andhra Pradesh

Central University of Andhra Pradesh (CUAP) is a central university and was established in the year 2018. It is situated in the district headquarters town of Ananthapuramu in the Rayalaseema region of Andhra Pradesh. CUAP is UGC-recognized and is ranked at the 32^nd position among Central Universities by IIRF 2024. The university is currently operating from its transit campus is JNTU and the permanent campus is being constructed of over 491.30 acres of land in Janthaluru village, Anantapur district. The academic session 2024-25 will start at the new university campus only.

The university offers a total of 32 UG, PG, Diploma as well as PhD courses to the interested candidates. For admission to UG and PG courses, the university accepts CUET scores. After qualifying in the entrance exam, candidates have to appear in the university-led counselling process to get admission to their chosen courses. 

The on-campus placement opportunities are also offered to the candidates in the final year of their degree. Some major recruiters like ETV, Ramoji Fil City, TCS, Asian Paints and more participate in the CUAP placement drives. The campus comprises of all the major facilities such as library, laboratories, IT labioratoies, spacious classrooms, experienced faculty members and more. 

Central University of Andhra Pradesh has also signed MoUs with organizations like Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi; Central University of Punjab, Bathinda; Airports Authority of India; Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology, Trivandrum; and IIT Jodhpur.

The university offers UG, PG as well as PhD courses under 12 dedicated departments. The university offers a total of 8 UG, 17 PG, 1 Diploma, and 6 PhD courses in different specializations. The duration of the UG courses ranges between 3-4 years and duration of PG courses is 2 years. Some of the popular courses that are offered by the university are B.Sc (Hons) Economics, BA (Hons) Political Science, B.Sc (Hons) CS & AI, MA Telugu, MBA, MSc in Space Science and Technology and more. Central University of Andhra Pradesh Admissions 2024

The Central University of Andhra Pradesh offers admission to the UG & PG courses on the basis of performance in CUET (Common University Entrance Test). The admission process for the university started immediately after the release of CUET results by NTA. The qualified candidates have to apply for their chosen course at the university. The university shortlists the candidates on the basis of their CUET scores. 

The university prepares a merit list of the registered candidates for the available courses and conducts admission counselling. The candidates have to participate in the counselling process (online) and, if eligible, complete the admission formalities as well.

There is a dedicated placement cell at CUAP that has recently organized a workshop on the topic of “Campus to Corporate: Life Skills Colloquium.” The cell works throughout the year to prepare the students to get attractive placement opportunities after the completion of their education. It trains the students on various parameters such as preparing striking resume, soft skills, ethics, professionalism, personality and self-confidence, self-motivation, problem-solving techniques, and more.
