About Vikram Deb Autonomous College - [VDAC]

Vikram Deb Autonomous College was established in 1947 in Orissa by King Rajashri Vikram Dev Verma with the help of the Government of Odisha for a noble cause of educating the tribal population. It was erstwhile known as Jeypore College.

It is situated in Koraput in Odisha and associated with Berhampur University, also accredited by NAAC. The Government of Odisha has issued a system of SAMS for both undergraduate and postgraduate studies. After the selection of students, which are done centrally at OCAC, Bhubaneshwar, the students are informed by SMS, E-mail or their name will be displayed on the list on the notice board in the college

How to Apply?

Students must apply online on a single form called the Common Application Form (CAF). Students can apply for any stream or course option.
After filling the CAF properly, students must submit the form to the college they want to apply to.
Students must then pay the appropriate fee to validate their admission application.
Students should keep the applicant’s copy of CAF as proof of submission for posterity.

Health Camp- The college organizes a Health and Awareness Program, Blood Donation Camp, Environment Awareness Observation, etc along with NSS and NCC for student volunteers.
Lecture Halls- The Institute has updated lecture theatres which are very spacious, accommodating many students, and are facilitated with audio-visual equipment like projectors, etc. Digital learning has been incorporated by recording live lectures, e-learning, highly secured exam halls.
Post Office- The campus has a post office that helps students and staff mail letters or DDs.
Bank- The campus also has a branch of Bank of Baroda since 2016 which can help students, staff, and others with banking services like ATMs, Mutual Funds, etc.
Health Club- Indoor and outdoor games, badminton court, and table tennis equipment are available for students to exercise and have a healthy attitude along with a mini-stadium to see teams from the college play games.
Cafeteria- A separate cafeteria serving healthy and nutritious food at an affordable price is available for students.
Gym- There is a state-of-the-art gym separate for men and women with proper weight equipment along with indoor and outdoor exercise units.
