Admission at Madurai Kamaraj University Directorate of Distance Education is based on merit. Candidates for all courses are selected based on merit and marks secured in High school board examinations and respective qualifying exams.
How to Apply?
For applying to courses one may follow the below steps for the admission process:
- Fill the application form for the desired course; with required documents.
- Enrolment fees for MBA / MCA are INR 500, UG / PG Diploma / Diploma / Certificate courses are INR 300 and PG courses are INR 400.
- Candidates whose application will be successfully submitted will receive notifications from college administration shortly.

MKU DDE Madurai Scholarship
The college administration has allowed external bodies for granting scholarships to lower caste students and Economically weaker students. Adi Dravidian and Harijan Welfare Department, Tamil Nadu Government provides Scholarships to SC/ST students. College administration also exempt tuition fee (100%) for Physically Challenged and provide half fee concession to students of defense employees.

The following are some of the facilities offered by Madurai Kamaraj University Directorate of Distance Education to help students with the smooth conduct of learning:
- Science lab: The college has a newly established Science lab with well-preserved tools for Biotechnology, Botany, Chemistry, Physics, Zoology students.
- Printed course materials: Printed material are made available to the students for the subjects. This helps students to refer back to the course even at home.
