Bharathiar University Distance Education Admissions

BU SDE invites application for various undergraduate and postgraduate courses in many streams, all the application processes are done through online more, aspirants can register their names and apply for desired courses by filling the application form, follow the subsequent steps:

Step 1: Visit the official website of BU (http://sde.b-u.ac.in)

Step 2: Go to the ‘Academics’ portal and click on ‘Admissions’

Step 3: Download the application form and the application form will appear

Step 4: Fill in the form with correct information along with upload the scanned required documents

Selection Procedure of UG, PG courses

The selection procedure of the undergraduate, postgraduate, diploma and research courses is based on candidate’s marks obtained in the past qualification exam, entrance exam or written test conducted by the university. The selection procedure is based on viz: 

TANCET - Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test conducted by Anna University at the national level. The exam is conducted for admitting candidates in MBA, M.Tech, MCA, and M.Arch courses in the month of June. Successful candidates satisfying their eligibility with TANCET Cutoff can enroll their names after counselling procedure. 

candidates seeking admission for the above-mentioned programs in Bharathiar University, School of Distance Education will have to appear for TANCET.

BU Written Test - The selection procedure for BSW, BBA, BCA, B.Com, and B.Lib.Sc. courses are based on the candidate’s qualifying marks in the University Written Test.

Merit-Based - M.Com, MSW, M.Lib.Sc and more candidate’s selection will be done on the basis of their qualifying marks in intermediate (10+2).
