- Admission for the B.Tech program is based on the merit scored in KCET followed by COMED-K counseling. After the declaration of results of the entrance exam, the students can log in to the official website of COMED-K in order to apply for the counseling process.
- For M.Tech, a student must have a valid GATE or KPGCET score which will be followed by KEA counseling.
- For MBA and MCA admission, the selection is done on the basis of the Karnataka PGCET score.
- For M.Sc. admission, the selection is done on the basis of merit scored by the candidates in the last qualifying examination.
- For admission to the Ph.D., the candidate will have to go through 3 stages i.e. Screening, Entrance Test, and Personal Interview.

Being an engineering college, PES College of Engineering has a good infrastructure to meet every student’s needs. Following are some of the facilities provided by the college:
- Library: It has a rich collection of books on various topics, dissertations, reference books, magazines, CDs/DVDs, journals, etc. It also subscribes to digital educational portals like NPTEL. Students can access them with proper login details provided by the librarian. The library is housed in the administrative block and occupies a total area of 13,099.38 sq ft. Three sections in the library are lending, reference, and book bank sections.
- Hostel: The Institute provides a well-furnished hostel facility to candidates coming to outstation areas. The hostel has 89 single occupancy, 21 double occupancy, and 73 triple occupancy rooms with a total capacity of 350. Facilities at hostels include Free medical, a Library, a TV room, Wi-Fi internet connectivity, solar water heaters, Closed-circuit television (CCTV), a Playground, a Vehicle parking facility, and a separate mess. The total hostel fees including room fee & mess fee INR 65,000 (3-bed room), INR 67,000 (2-bed room) & INR 69,000 (1-bed room)
- Canteens: It is equipped with the latest appliances and delicious food.
Apart from these facilities, the institute has a Bank ATM, Dispensary, Cooperative Society & Sports facilities as well.
